Mika Urbaniak’s Biography
Singer, songwriter Mika Urbaniak has been a professional musician since age 13. After writing her first song at age 11 she knew from then on she was meant to share her artistry with the world.
Born in New York and raised by two Polish Jazz icons, Urszula Dudziak and Michal Urbaniak – pioneers of fusion Jazz – she was born into the world of music and art.
The fact that frequent visitors to the family 38th st flat included Miles Davis,George Benson,Herie Hancock, Chaka kahn and Marcus Miller assured Mika’s future.
A successful artist in Poland where her parents still live, Mika is now looking to conquer new territories with the release of her third album Once in a Lifetime
“The music I love is music that speaks to the heart, that tells the truth, and gives people something to think about.” Says Mika.
Mika’s unique, jazzy pop sound has a tint of melancholy which hypnotizes her listeners. At the same time her personal poetic rap style, also adds another dimension

She has been touring around the world for years, with the likes of,
Lenny White, Troy Miller, Otto Williams, Tom Browne, Al McDowell, and also in her fathers Urbanator Days Project.

Mika’s most previous album, “Follow You”, produced by Victor Davies, won the Best Album Award given by Journalists and Music Critics, whilst performing on the TV Music Program “Top, Trendy” watched by millions of viewers.
Her new album Once In a Lifetime, takes influences from jazz in the 30’s and 40’s which was the poplar music of the time.
